"Visited Ashnil as part of a longer trip. The other Lodges have excellent dinner and lunch meals and service. Here, we were told on arrival that each sitting would cost us a small fortune for what turned out to be very mediocre meals. You are in the middle of nowhere, so paying for these meals left a bitter taste in the mouth for a one-night stay. Service was inferior, period. The bathrooms are horrible - see photos. "The animals truly do walk by this location OFTEN! As soon as I checked in I saw elephants, giraffes, monkeys, and zebras with the first hour. Sitting in your own private pool to view the wildlife was the cherry on top. Even though you're in a secluded area, Manyatta Camp offers extremely reasonable prices for their food and drinks. "All in all - excellent. Food was varied, fresh, and well prepared and served. Rooms could use a few more amenities like ear buds, hand towels etc. Safari? We were lucky and did get to see a pride of lions, thanks to our driver/guide Martin. Special shout-out to Naiomi - who is the service specialist in the lobby. Great job! "
