โNear the volcano, which is why we picked it. Reasonable price, near the village and the volcano house. The room was large and fairly clean. The frogs kept us awake, but we got used to them. Very responsive hosts, there is no host at the lodge, but there are plenty of supplies if you run out of towels or coffee, or anything you can usually get from a hotel. The neighborhood seems safe. The store down the road had most anything you need. Thereโs a laundry at the true value store down the...
โWe had a wonderful stay at the Volcano Forest Inn. The inn has a great location just outside the national park. We were able to stop at several places before they became busy. There was a good amount of information on the area and a tv with current info on the volcano. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Overall,...

Best location for volcano natl park if you want to stay in there and feel the nature. And the condition of the accomodation was good.โ
"When I checked in, two employees at the front desk were terrible. They were very rude and even didn't let us know the locations of facilities. But the free parking and location were good! "
"The front desk staff were friendly, and I appreciated that the hotel was eco-friendly.
Glass bottles were provided in the room so you have to get water from the lobby, and the shower amenities were environmentally conscious, minimizing plastic use.
However, there was one major issue. Since the hotel is within 10 minutes of the airport, the loud noise from planes taking off made it difficult to sleep. I recommend flying in and out of Kona Airport instead of Hilo Airport."
