The best motel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in about 30 this year. It's more like a resort than a motel. The rooms and the bathrooms are very spacious.
The dining room/restaurant/bar is excellent. Food selection, serving size and quality is top class.
We've stayed here a few times and the room is always very clean, very comfortable and very spacious. It's like staying at a holiday house rather than a motel room.
How good .. Excellent!!!
The room was very clean, we did suffer a blackout ( which was out of their control) however when the power was restored the TV did not work. Friendly reception staff.
I genuinely loved my stay here. Room was clean, there was plenty of parking and they made some really good cocktails. Can’t complain for an overnight stay.
Our group stay at Black Gold every year for the Ridgy Didge trail festival. We wouldn’t stay - or even eat - anywhere else! We love it here, the staff, the restaurant, it’s all part of our annual weekend pilgrimage to this race and we wouldn’t change a thing
We were only passing through on our way to somewhere else but The BlackGold was really clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The Crib, the on-site restaurant, had really nice food and was very well priced.
I feel lucky to have found this hotel. Check in was a breeze with a code - perfect as I arrived very late after a long drive. Parking was right out front and it’s a very well laid out hotel, all rooms I saw were ground floor so perfect for anyone with mobility issues or just tired from a long day and lugging bags inside. The room was clean and warm. The best find for me was the restaurant - cosy and warm, a wide menu, friendly and efficient staff .. a real pleasure with the gas fire place and large windows.
