"Rooms a little care worn, building exterior too could do with some attention. Pool was nice but no towels provided and drinks were not complementary. Staff friendly enough but t overall it seems this is a hotel that has seen better days."

"Had an overnight stay on a short visit to Buxton. The hotel is ideally located and had parking at a reasonable cost. Close to town centre etc. As it was only a quick stop we went for one of the cheaper rooms. It was a good sized double with large bathroom and tea/ facilities and biscuits, obviously didn’t have much of a view as it was a lower priced room. Breakfast was included in the cost and was very good plenty to choose from and freshly cooked. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly use the hotel again."
