“Booked here mainly for the air conditioning ..30+ degrees at the moment. Upon check in we were informed that the air con was broken in our room. They had put a fan in the room so went to see. It was like an oven so politely declined. We were offered an upgrade, but was asked if we were willing to pay the difference ourselves. “I assumed I would be staying in a hotel reflective of the pictures shared, however our actual accommodation was in some of the side rooms, in a building that was definitely worse-for-wear. Most of the services that we had expected to be part of the amenities came with an extra charge - from using the gym and pool, to changing rooms because our fan was broken in the middle of a heatwave (they ended up giving us another fan for free). “Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round.”
