"Got to the hotel after a long travel only to be told when trying to check-in that it was full and they were double booked. No one had tried to contact us to let us know prior to arrival. The staff had tried to secure alternative accommodation however this was not in a location we wanted to be in. Very disappointing. Contacted Expedia.com who were very apologetic but could not find us an alternative and we were left to find somewhere ourselves. Expedia have agreed to refund the difference in cost. This was not a great experience at all."
"For £60 a night I had a clean and comfy bed, a hot shower, and a tea and coffee station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Yes, it is a little noisy and crooked, but it's an old pub with normal pub hours so that's to be expected. I'm a female in my early 30s travelling on my own and I felt very safe and welcomed.
Obviously this is not the hotels fault so still rating a 5, but just make sure you have a decent car to get there as the route is very steep and goes through a mountain range.
The only suggestion that I would make is to make the breakfast hours start and hour earlier for those wanting to beat the parking at popular hiking spots.
Also, after hearing a few conversations, it was not clear on the hotels.com site wether breakfast was included or not. I did pay for mine when I was there and it was only £10 so not a big deal anyway.
