"Alaska Inn Wasilla ended up being our favorite hotel of the entire Alaska trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel welcoming from the moment we arrived. Parking was plentiful and convenient, and the location made it easy to get around town. Our room was excellent — the rooms have recently been updated and are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with all the amenities working exactly as they should. It’s clear the property is run with care. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers."
"The economy room we started in was in an older part of the building. The AC unit wasn’t working and the windows were painted shut. The staff handled this quickly and upgraded us to a better room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was amazing. I will stay there again as it is affordable for one night in Anchorage, but I will request a deluxe room.
We also saw a needle in the area right beside the sidewalk, which we reported to staff and we saw them dispose of it appropriately.
Overall, it’s an older hotel with an awesome staff."
Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Anchorage Airport
8/10 Good
"There was very little hot water in the shower. Continental breakfast was great. Coffee was strong. Our shuttle was on time for the airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful."
"It’s a Motel 6 BUT it is conveniently located, has a free airport shuttle, is in the same complex as 4 other large hotel chains so it’s safe and rooms are clean. There’s nothing extra here but if you just need a place to sleep—it works!"
"The property is a little bit older, but is right on the lake where you can see float planes, landing and taking off. The staff was friendly. The free shuttle to the airport and downtown was great. Room was very spacious and comfortable."
"This was a very old property so everything was showing many years of use and was not updated. That being said the bed was clean and comfortable. The mini fridge was cold. The water was hot and there was good water pressure in the shower. The staff was very friendly. The room rates were reasonable for Alaska in the summer. We would definitely stay there again."
