Really nice hotel situated close to the airport yet right on a lake. The sea planes taking off and landing were fun to watch but were a little noisy in the evening but they stopped at around 10pm so it was okay.

Older lodge style hotel that is in a good location, close to the airport on Hood Lake. The property is older and worn and some details are lacking but it was comfortable and easy going. A bit on the expensive side for the value. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location for coming in from airport. They had an airport and train Station shuttle. Very cool grounds being able to see the float planes take off and land. Onsite restaurants are just ok. Bring an eye mask! Rooms have window AC unit so you can’t close the blinds all the way and it’s very bright at night.

A nice, clean and staff friendly hotel. We enjoyed the view of the lake when dining at the restaurant. The shuttle drivers were so very helpful with our luggage both when we arrived and departed Anchorage. We also got a lift from them to the town centre.

Nice place to stay, convenient to get to from airport and many other attractions. It is an older motel and interior is dated, but it is nice. Staff was great. Check in was slow, they needed more help with all the people coming at once. Watching the sea planes take off and land was cool. Was disappointed that they did not have a full menu for breakfast, just buffet.

The only reason to stay here is the convenience of location and shuttles to/from the airport and the train station. The staff is polite enough (and the shuttle drivers friendly and helpful), but the amenities are definitely sub par, especially the worn carpeting in the public areas (some creating a potential tripping hazard) and the poor condition of the 2nd floor laundry (pooling water on the floor which was not attended to.)

It was very nice experience! I enjoy the breakfast buffet in the morning and being able to eat dinner also at the property if you wanted too. I use the washer and dryer which worked great! Overall 9 out of 10.

Everything was great about the room, restaurant and shuttle to to airport. I had an 18 hour layover so I was trying to get an early check-in so I could get a few hours of sleep and check out at 11:30 PM to get my 2 AM flight. The receptionist didn’t seem too interested in checking availability for room for an early check-in. I ended up paying $50 to get in a couple hours early..
