"Very nice reception. Room spacious with comfortable bed and good bathroom with shower over the bath. Nice to have more than one comfortable chair. Food overall very good although my wife didn’t enjoy her glow bowl which had an odd mixture of hot and cold food. My steak and kidney suet pudding was very good as were desserts and coffee. Breakfast excellent with wide choice. Perfectly cooked scrambled egg, which is not always the case. All staff very pleasant and efficient. Overall good value for money."

The cottage is a typical Lancashire / Yorkshire traditional house, with lovely views and within easy reach of pubs, restaurants, commutable to other neighbouring towns. The cottage itself has everything you need, a great pub "The Dog Inn" is a t minute walk."

Lots of walking & cycling routes which is exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately we inadvertently brought home a pepper grinder that wasn’t ours & we left a coat behind. If the owners have any of our details we would appreciate contact to arrange a collection & return of your grinder. J & D"
