"This hotel was excellent! I would give it 10 stars! Our room was unique in that the restoration to preserve the previous Mill was seen everywhere on the grounds as well as our room. The breakfast was also excellent. Hot homemade grits, biscuits, gravy, eggs & sausage was all included. The staff were all very friendly & helpful from checking in & the breakfast staff. I hope one day I get to return to the City Mill Hotel."

"Rooms were not ready at check-in time. Lobby bathroom was gross with urine and feces. Our room had a strange odor. Understaffed restaurant at the resort. The cantina at the beach was unexpectedly closed. The main gate to the beach was closed causing a long drive to get lunch for our hungry children. The staff was friendly and the food was good when we finally got sat in the mostly empty dining room. The beds were comfortable. The scenery was nice. "

"Overall, this was a decent stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was nice and quiet at night. I also appreciated that there were a lot of breakfast options available in the morning. A few things were just okay: the surrounding area wasn’t the best, the shower water only got warm instead of truly hot, the room temperature didn’t seem to match what the thermostat was set to, and cleanliness was acceptable, but the bathroom could have been cleaner."
