"We chose this location as part of our 6 day road trip from Welling to Auckland and prior to our visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set. No staff were on site when we arrived however we were given clear instructions about our unit location and how to access. This motel certainly met our needs for an overnight stay."

"Room was separated from shower room and toilet room (assigned to the bedroom, so no sharing required) and you had to access shower and toilet from the common hallway. All rooms were clean as was the common kitchen and sitting room area. The owners were quite nice as were the other guests. Parking was free. We liked the place as it was very quiet during the night. A place to recommend and revisit if back in the area."

"Very helpful, friendly and great staff. They put a lot on for the kids and families which was great. Whole campsite was family friendly. Beds were super comfy. Only thing was our cabin was quite run down, needed some tlc and a very big deep clean."

"We had a lovely quiet stay, the unit was well presented and had everything we needed.... We were warmly welcomed. Thankyou for the plunger coffee. The motel is nicely landscaped with an outdoor pool to relax by. Close to eateries & a supermarket. Highly recommend & will stay again. 😊"

"For the cost I felt that the unit didn't provide the little extras that one would expect, for example no English Breakfast tea, no powder for the dishwasher, and the unit wasn't serviced, As well the balcony door would not open"

"Staff were very helpful with planned late arrival. Instructions were easy to follow and arrival was smooth. The unit is next to a busy road and is very handy to the expressway to Tauranga and Mt Maunganui - which meant finding it was easy. But as a result there was quite a bit of traffic noise. We booked the two bedroom unit with fold-out bed for our 5th family member. The fold-out was broken and when pointed out to the management they said this was normal and all the units had similar fold-outs. We have used fold-outs extensively and this is not normal. As a result our son has aggravated a back spasm so unfortunately we will not be returning to this property."
