“Beautifully finished apartment and to a high standard. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating on what was a very busy evening for them. Food was lovely and presented well, amazing coffee too. Location was great just what we needed for our trip.”

“Best about the accomodation is being on top of the hill overlooking the sea. Comfortable for a group of 4 persons. We didn't have a car but the flat is near St Austell train station, it’s about 25 mins walk. There are buses.But Taxi difficult to book, long waiting time.”

“Clean well presented accommodation, check was easy and well communicated, parking was easy to find with the addition of photos to help. Good location and pet friendly, close to town with a few steep steps but you quickly get used to that. Maybe a parasol would be nice to go with the table and chairs outside, even more so in this current heat wave. “Very happy to have off street parking. Bus stop just outside property so chose to do bus trip to Padstow - this bus goes to Bodmin Parkway should you choose to travel by train to Bodmin. Nice and spacious to spread ourselves out. A few great pubs and main High St walking distance. Would stay again.”

“The rooms are quite dated, the majority of the pictures shown are for the first floor rooms while the ground floor rooms are lot more dated and feel like the disparity is quite big. The room itself has two bathrooms and the ensuite had a very foul smell when we first entered and the second bathroom had a damp odour to it. The ensuite smell went away after the first night, but the second bathroom smells got worse over time as the ventilator was not working which we mentioned to the property...

“Patio and patio fence are badly unkempt (with overgrown weeds and loose timber). Half the oven didn't work, either. Sykes Cottages were appalling at dealing with the issues when raised - could have been quickly sorted by efficient maintenance. A shame, as it's a great holiday house.”
