“We had gone out, came back around 9pm and the main gate was locked. There was no security person manning the gate. Security guard came after 15 min or so and did not have the key to the padlock. We kept on calling the cell number provided by the hotel and there was no answer. Almost an hour later, they had to break the padlock. Manager on duty not answering calls and nowhere to be found as well. ”

“The property is in a beautiful location with access to a beautiful beach. Gardens/pathways are well maintained. The spa is excellent. Small problem areas are - teapot in room still full of old tea/rust colored water in the kettle/wooden strip above the lounge curtain fell off/dinner was mediocre (risotto was terrible - stodgy lump)/back of house area behind our villa had garbage lying around. Devil is in the details. ”

The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this. The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage.”

“The location and setting was just amazing. Well kept and modern facilities, staff is amazing and we had breakfast every morning, on the porch overlooking the sea. Definitely recommended.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Côte d’Azur. We were welcomed warmly and especially enjoyed Siswe, the gentleman at reception. The apartment was so beautiful and clean and had everything we could have needed. Keep in mind that in South Africa, there are no electrical plugs in bathrooms ”
