“A lovely stay”

“Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. “We were visiting Ushaw House and this cottage is perfect location for there, Durham and surround area. Great shower, comfy bed. Easy parking outside your door. Lovely village and great pub. The Bay Horse. Thanks to John the owner for the recommendation ”

“Fantastic cottage with amazing views. The cottage has almost everything you need making it a very relaxing experience. Fields as far as the eye can see. Farmer Andy and his cows are very friendly. We had a very small problem and it was sorted out very quickly. ”

“- Room was great - Staff were great - Breakfast was decent enough. Cooked food could have been better, but it was sufficient. - Gym was ok, but the pool area wasn't the best. Changing room was dirty, pool was a bit merky and the sauna wasn't very hot. Overall, it was decent for the £95 we paid for b&b for the night for 3 people. Would go again, just not into the pool.”

“Lovely hotel, staff friendly and food on site was lovely. Quick service and nice environment. Certain parts of the building are quite run down and need fixing, I.e. health club ceilings visibly damaged and in a state of disrepair in areas but overall didn’t detract from experience. ”
