“At check in staff member was kind enough to let us check in early. Room was nice and had everything we needed, smelled very fusty and damp though. Before booking, we checked food service times as we knew we would need to eat quite late, this was shown as 9pm on their website and hotel.com. we tried to order at half past 8 and were told kitchen was closed. There is nothing else around so we had to get a taxi to and from the nearest tescos for a meal deal”

“Very friendly service but the room was cold and when we asked for heating it was only turned on for an hour so was cold again in the morning. Door to the bathroom didn’t shut properly and the handle was half unscrewed.”

“The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. The staff were delightful, each and every one of them. And the food…omg, the food! So good! We wish we booked more than one night!”

“I arrived at the Horse and Jocky and I was surprised to hear that it was Karaoke night and it was well liked bye many, it was Friday night and it's let your hair down time, it was a change to have so many people who just turned up to sing and enjoy the evening, I was an outsider but I didn't feel it.”

“Very clean room and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Shower is a bit of a dribble and you need to bring your own soap or shower gel. No breakfast but there's options just around the corner. A great pub with lots of beers on offer from their own brewery. I'd happily go back.”
