"We really liked our two weeks at the hotel. my wife and I. I was however more than slightly unhappy by the lack of heating in the pools, which I reported through Expedia as well as not being offered a VIP upgrade or a few hours late checkout. The hotel guest services came back to me within hours and while it didn't make the pools warmer it did make us feel hugely better. Part of the remedy included the later checkout. I have to say the hotel restaurants have a have fantastically extensive menus with dishes which are genuinely fresh and well prepared. With staff who were always polite and flawless in their services. Added to which the hotel IT system clearly worked very well as the staff at a restaurant or bar would ask how was such a thing we had asked about relating to our minibar for example. It made us feel that what we said mattered and was being taken seriously. The other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel offers a really extensive range of activities which you need to log onto the app to know about. These including but not limited to, shooting, archery, cooking, mixing drinks, tennis. The list really is long. This was the first time we have stayed at a Secrets hotel, and we think it may not be our last. I would certainly recommend the Lanzarote Secrets."

"The hotel is wonderful, great rooms, breakfast, pools, etc. The only thing that I could suggest to upgrade are the fixtures in the shower, as I found the soap/shampoo holders were quite flimsy,"
Hotel Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO

"Room - Big room with good pool/sea view and large balcony (extra). The worst thing is the lack of double beds, and the pushed together singles with separate duvets - they slip apart if you move to the middle leaving a gap - not very romantic if you can't lie in your partner's arms on holiday! Daily housekeeping fine, although they forgot to replace the instant coffee and milk sachets a couple of times. Shower pressure a bit low (large rainfall overhead in small bath). Food - Good breakfast (fresh orange and coffee quite good), although they could serve poached eggs. Dinner was a bit samey every day but of reasonable quality. The fish offering was limited most days to small farmed sea bream fillets, which was a shame given the availability of fish and seafood on the island. One day (in a week), they served prawns and mussels as well, which was good. There was plenty nice salad and dessert. Staff - There weren't that many staff around, but all were very nice and helpful, very efficient and welcoming. Pool area - There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool is fine with occasional jacuzzi seats. There were a few kids but mostly pensioner aged guests. The "cave spa" costs an extra 20 euro for two hours - it's not a cave, it's plastic wall covering. Location - There's no beach - the closest is 10 mins up the coast in front of larger hotel. It's a 15min walk to the Rubicon Marina area."
THB Tropical Island Aparthotel

"This is the second year which my family have stayed at the THB Tropical. The reason for our return is the very warm welcome we received in 2025 and the help for my wife's parents who are disabled. Again the staff couldn't help us enough. I contacted the hotel before we arrived and requested a room with a walk in shower (without a step) to enable easier access. This was accommodated with no issue. All the facilities we great and available as and when we needed them. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is close to Playa Blanca Beach, Facilities at the hotel perfect and staff amazing. 10 out 10 and return next year definitely looks on the cards."

"Overall very good A bit to noisy for us Small Critisms Lack of instruction in room posh coffee machine no idea how to use it. Complementary tea bags no milk. Lovely balcony no sun loungers what a waste Generally preferred it before it went all inclusive"

"A fabulous stay. Resort spotless, beautiful kept grounds and peaceful and quiet. Taxi rank outside for convenience. Staff attentive and nothing is a problem for them. The biggest compliment is the food at the restaurant ate there every night and everything I had off the menu was superb. Spoke to other guests who couldn't believe how nice the food was. Overall a brilliant stay and highly recommended."
