Excellent place and a primo location. The places (we had two groups each staying in separate dwellings) were a slice of more authentic Japan nestled in a picturesque neighborhood. Our only challenges related to some difficultly getting in the places and one place not being ready when we check in. They allowed for a little later check out time on the one place but felt they could have extended it to both since we were all affected by the delay. Otherwise, things got handled well and they we’re...

Recently renovated. Very nice and large rooms. Breakfast was fantastic. You need to take a bus to get to the center but it is convenient to catch.

In addition to be an excellent inn, it’s a place steeped in local history.

Loved this place. A little trip to a quieter part of Japan. The hotel worked very very hard to accommodate gluten free meals for my mother even after I had forgotten to tell them ahead of time. They were very sweet to help my mom experience traditional Japanese food, gluten free. The canals were lovely to tour as well.

make you feel comfortable, very nice have automatic machine free for the hot coffee & ice or hot green tea 24hrs.

Canal rides are 2 minutes walking distance! So convenient!

Basic hotel, decent price. Staff used English well enough. Some funny signs, from bad English translations, still understandable though.

The staff of the hostel was fantastic: very welcoming and helpful. The house is cozy and an excellent experience in a traditional Japanese house. I ate in a very good seafood restaurant very close by.

I absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were absolutely fantastic, the food from the restaurant was incredible, and the area around the hotel was beautiful and exciting to explore. Unfortunately, I didn't have an opportunity to use the public bath facility, so I can't say anything about that. Just to note, only a few of the staff speak English so basic Japanese skills would be recommended. The station is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, so keep that in mind...

This was my first time outside the USA and I couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Saga. We got the breakfast package and we’re able to mix it up everyday. My wife and I tried almost everything and they were all delicious. They also have a fully stocked lounge with snacks, sodas, beer and even a small selection of liquor. Not speaking the language was no problem as they have iPads and use Google...

good compact hotel

The place is great. It is the next a train station with many shops around it. You can find food and almost any essential stuff there. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was nice too.

The R9 hotel was nice that we could park so close to our room! The only drawback is when it is raining the water comes off in front and when trying to enter the code to the room we get all wet from the runoff. Besides that, it was great.

The hotel staff from registration to exit were all completely helpful and polite. They assisted this American traveler with various questions about location of places, how to get cabs and always had a friendly smile when coming in to the lobby. The breakfast, included in the price, was ample and delicious.
