Unique hotel cum hostel with kind staff

This place is unique. A mixture of a hotel and a hostel both for individual guests and many students and teachers from Norwegian special schools. The staff is kind and informative, especially the Danish manager. Some rooms are up to standard while others reportedly need upgrading. Breakfast is good. One evening a gathering of a local "Moped" association with dinner and dance to live music. Quite a happy lot! The surroundings are beautiful and excellent for outdoor life. We hope to return if possible.

Vi lå på hostellet og det var derfor ikke av høy standard og kunne kanskje ikke ventet bedre standard. Illeluktende inngangsparti. Gamle tepper og gammel dusj med kaldtvann og varmtvann hver for seg tok lang tid og få blandet det til ønskelig temperatur.. Vi prøvde badebassenget og vannet var veldig kaldt. frokosten var helt ok. Men hotellets fellesareal bar preg av svunne tider. Tepper og møbler var slitt. I anmeldelsen stod det at det skulle være lekeplass både inne og ute . Dette var ikke noe vi fant.

Très bon séjour au bord d'un lac

Séjour très agréable, notre chambre avait la vue sur le lac, c'était magnifique. Des kayaks ou barques sont à disposition au bord du lac pour y faire un petit tour, c'est top ! Petit-déjeuner très varié autant en salé qu'en sucré. L'accueil est également très chaleureux.

Nydelig utsikt og veldig service orientert personell. Veldig enkel frokost og ikke valgmuligheter til middag da det kun var dagens 3 retters middag. Personalet er hyggelige og gjør så godt de kan. Rommene de bruker til gjester er sterile men helt ok, resten av hotellet fremstår som falleferdig og ikke vedlikeholdt siden glansdagene for noen ti-år siden. Middag er enkelt buffet, 1 rett til alle. Tipper at planen er rehabilitering, men det kommer til å ta tid og koste penger. Få gjester på stort hotell gjør at man får litt spesiell stemning.

Utenfor sesong, men ikke nødvendig å fryse ut gjestene for å spare strøm... vi ble tildelt fleecepledd😅 forferdelig guffent bad, med edderkopp på vegg og skittent dusjforheng. Toalett og resten av badet ble klissvåt når man dusjet. Å kalle dette et hotell er etter vår mening oppskrytt, men vi fikk ett par timer på øynene da dyna var godt tullet rundt en kald kropp...

Booket et værelse som var nedsat fra kr 1037 DKK til kr 320 DKK så jeg havde en forventning om at få et OK værelse. Fik et rom som benyttes af Norsk Turistforening som heller ikke var opvarmet. Overnatningen var OK efter det jeg betalte, men at reklamere med at det var nedsat fra 1037 DKK er mildt sagt MEGET misvisende. Jeg føler mig snydt og vil være meget forsigtig med at stole på de priser og tilbud hotels.com tilbyder.

Vi kommer ikke til å besøke dette hotellet igjen. Hotellet var utslitt og utrivelig, med mugglukt i gangene. Ingen muligheter for å henge opp våte håndklær, dette ble litt problematisk for oss, da vi ikke fikk nye håndklær i løpet av oppholdet. Frokost besto av et dårlig utvalg av pålegg fra "grensehandel". Skulle lage meg en kopp te, men lot koppen stå da varmvannet var fullt av svart rusk (dårlig rengjort maskin?). Det som trekker var den vakre naturen rundt hotellet.

Fikk et rom med to vestvendte soverom, hvorav det ene hadde vinduer som ikke kunne åpnes. Med temperaturer opp mot 30 grader var nevnte rom ikke noe behagelig sted å være. Møtte forståelse for dette og det ble umiddelbart klargjort et annet rom, østvendt. Ros til den dansktalende damen for hjelpen.

Ankom hotellet ca kl 2315, fikk rommet. Måtte så legge på sengetøy. Teppe på rommet var ikke rent. Det så ut som om noen hadde barbert skrittet sitt eller puddelen sin. 50 kr i bomvei hver vei blir heller ikke nevnt. Gratis frokost som det står på hjemmesiden var det ikke. Det var heller ikke vann i bassenget. Godt råd, Betal ekstra og bo ett annet sted

Gammelt hotell med flott beliggenhet

Hotellet er gammelt og er litt slitt, men det har masse sjarm. Historien sitter i veggene. Hyggelig personale. Flott beliggenhet med nydelig utsikt mot Østerdalsfjellene og Hornsjø. Glimrende sted for langrenn, og skisporene startet rett utenfor hotellets inngang. Passer også bra hvis man skal kjøre slalom. Det er 18 km ned til alpinanlegget på Hafjell. Vi hadde et hyggelig opphold, og kommer nok sikkert tilbake en annen gang.

Not what I expected. The Hotel is about 15km farther East than what is shown on the Map and Directions link. The location this link shows the hotel to be close to Oyre in a rural residential area and not the actual hotel location. This is misleading and a serious mistake. This needs to be fixed! Had I known this I may have chosen a different hotel and/or I would have taken different route getting there. This different location further away from Oyre which meant I needed to leave a half hour earlier than planned to drive to the airport due to the extra distance. The hotel is more of a Winter Resort. In summer the countryside is nice but the hotel is a bit old and rundown. Hardly any other guests. No elevator. More for backpackers and skiers. No other choice for dining other than the hotel unless you take the 30km drive back to Oyre

Eneste besøkende på hotellet den helgen. Hotellet har ikke blitt fornyet siden 1972, skittent badebasseng området, som de i tillegg skulle ha ekstra betalt for. Nei, velg et annet.
