Castle outside Paris with big garden

Castle 30 min from central Paris w train plus 10 min by car to the local station. Slightly run down but very beautiful! Huge gardens, perfect for dogs and walks. Very inexperienced staff, but friendly. Dinner is available but too expensive for the quality although the deco is amazing.

Contrasting opinions

If you go there, you better have a car: impossible to get avtaxi from the RER station, hotel personnel didn’t help with transport either. Very old condition, though the room was clean. Limited choice for breakfast and breakfast room extremely dark. Wi-fi connection was terrible. Not really recommended for a business trio, it can be charming for other type of trip.

Historical building, no modern features can bè found, like TV, Wi-Fi (It is not working) or mini-bar. The breakfast is good, especially the fruit juice and the selection of cheeses

The place had a bad smell. Like your granny’s house in the eightys . No food on the Monday eve when I arrived . On a positive note the grounds outside was lovely.

Lovely stay in an old chateau that is about an hour south from CDG airport. Rooms are large and slightly worn, but have great character. Great restaurant.

Château du Maréchal de Saxe

This French chateau gives the opportunity to see how people used to live. High ceilings, original features, fairly modern bathrooms with plenty of hot water and a restaurant serving high quality food. Quiet and peaceful set in ample parkland for good long walks, and also within walking distance of the amenities of pretty Yerres. Staff very helpful.

très joli château malgré sa vétusté, avec un beau parc dommage que l'on ne nous ai pas indiqué que la piscine était ouverte et il manque un pare douche sur la baignoire pour ne pas innonder la belle salle de bain personnel très accueillant bon sejour

Affascinante.

Hotel affascinante. La camera (in una dependance) si raggiunge con una scala abbastanza scomoda ma originale dell'epoca della struttura. Abbastanza curato il restauro ma (anche in questo caso) vincolato dalla struttura originale: una trave disturba l'accesso al letto, un'altra impedisce di fare la doccia in piedi. In ogni caso il fascino compensa abbondantemente questi difetti. Lo consiglio e ci tornerei! Incomparabili le sale riservate al ristorante.

Cadre très sympathique pas commun, reposant.

Le séjour s'est très bien passé, bonne détente. Possibilité de rejoindre la gare de Yerres où il y a le RER direct pour le centre de Paris. La promenade dans le Parc de l'hôtel est super plus une belle piscine couverte. J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'ambiance sereine et libre.

A splendid chateau, attended by rollicking sheep

The chateau is extremely beautiful, but what most impressed my wife was the dozens of sheep that traveled through the front garden of the chateau when we arrived. The baby sheep were jumping all over each other and having a wonderful time. That was one of the best highlights of our trip.
