Very poor quality accommodation in need of some TLC. Staff were friendly but this did not make the carpets less worn or the facilities better.

This is a pub b and b andThe decor was a bit tired and the room was clean but basic. Breakfast was average quality and took a while to get served. On the plus side though butter, sugar and milk was not in packets! Car park is free and city centre is a ten minute walk away.

Callum and Jake where very helpful and polite. The Breakfast was good, had the full english twice. there was a wide range off items available for breakfast, and the sunday lunch was very nice .

Value for money

Very good location with 10-15 minute walk in to the centre of York. Parking onsite and breakfast made this stay good value for money. Without these we would unlikely stay again, property is dated and needs some tlc. Staff are friendly, welcoming and there’s a nice touch of a Yorkie bar and Hot chocolate sachet in the room. Pub closes at 11.30pm, prior to that music and noise from the pub below can be heard (we were in a room right above the bar area, other rooms may have been quieter), nothing too disruptive but noise none-the-less. We were warm enough during our stay, electric shower hot but pressure was low. Breakfast basic but good. Despite these negatives we would stay again as we feel it is value for money and we liked the location.

Review

The room was very clean and welcoming. Coffee making facilities were in the room. I had a Yorkie and a bottle of water included in my room, which was a nice gesture. Had no complaints.

York Visit

We had a great stay at the Heworth Inn. Food was fantastic and can thoroughly recommend. The staff - Jess - Jack and bar staff (sorry did not get her name) were exceptional and could not do enough to make welcome. Will certainly visit again soon.

Had a lovely stay here. Upon arrival the staff were welcoming , room was clean and exactly what we were expecting. Tea/coffee station , toiletries and towels provided. Have a private car park to park in and it was only about a 10/15 minute walk into actual york city centre. Would stay again , had no problems at all.

Good access to York Centre

The hotel was situated within walking distance of the city centre and there is also an abundance of buses. Our room was a good size, with ensuite and overlooked the main road, which was surprisingly quieter than we thought it would be. Our breakfasts were delicious but unfortunately, they do not provide evening meals. It has a popular bar and outdoor seating. Also a small car park at the rear.

Was quoted Breakfast included by Hotels.com but when I arrived was told that it was extra only at week-ends. Had to pay extra for breakfast. Mattress on bed was very thin and not comfortable. I did not sleep well.
