“We checked into the Grand Royal in York after a dismal experience at another hotel in York. The room, air conditioning, and staff were fabulous. The room was gorgeous, the staff could not have been more helpful, and we looked a mess after a bad experience at another hotel in York, but they treated us with respect and helped us to our room. The breakfast was fantastic, bar and restaurant and spa as well. This is the BEST hotel in York!”

“No breakfast menu would of been better witha seperate sink in room and bigger bin to put things in but lovely bed abit sweeky but lovely and clean room loved my stay would stay again ”

“Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference.”
