Location perfect for visiting the local region, the hosts were friendly and so knowledgeable about all of the monuments associated with WW1. Breakfast was superb fresh every day, A very personable and friendly couple

Comfortable room, uncomfortable hosts

Room was reasonably spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Hosts had extremely strict rules like no food in room and sitting room smelled of stale smoke. Found their approach quite rude however could be cultural differences. Haven't had that issue anywhere else in Europe or UK to date. Isolated with no shops nearby. Wouldn't return or recommend.

Great Peace Run Weekend

A friendly and comfortable bed and breakfast. A good choice for breakfast attractively presented. The owners were helpful and gave a good level of information.

Best B&B in Belgium

Rooms were as advertised. Great location for WWI buffs. Wonderful breakfast and well presented. The hosts were more than hospitable and eager to ensure the stay would be as good as possible.

Close to Memorial Sites

ANNE AND ALAIN ARE VERY GOOD HOSTS. ALAINS' KNOWLEDGE OF THE WAR MEMORIALS AND AREAS OF INTEREST IS FANTASTIC. THE ROOM WAS SMALL BUT COMFORTABLE, IT OPENED ONTO A GARDEN WHERE MOST NIGHTS THE GUESTS GOT TOGETHER FOR A DRINK, PILLOWS WERE SOFT NOT PLANKS OF WOOD!!!!! THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLANT. WE STAYED 4 NIGHTS AND EACH MORNING ANNE HAD A DIFFERENT SPECIALTY FOR BREAKFAST, SCRAMBLED EGGS, FRUIT KEBABS OR A GREAT FRUIT SMOOTHIE. OUR HOSTS COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL WHEN MY HUSBAND NEEDED ATTENTION FOR TWO BROKEN FINGERS.

Great location, poor cleanliness

Very friendly owners who seem to run things on their own, but this is telling with the standard of cleanliness and laundry being somewhat poor. Great location for my purpose of visiting WW1 memorial sites!

Wifi didn't work. The room that I got was far worse of what was on the hotel picture . No door for shower.

Geordie Bikers weekend

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is just off the main road that leads into Ieper, so very convenient for travelling for us.The Hotel staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English. Very handy for us as we didn't speak much Dutch! Our room was very spacious and clean with an on-suite. The room has TV with a few English channels. There is a honesty bar in the main foyer which i made good use of during my stay. The dinning area is well laid out and the food is very tasty. You get a choice of either continental or Full English breakfast or just ask for specific dietary choices to suit. No request is to small and the staff are eager to help. They offer an excellent tourist guide to the local areas and beyond and provide various travel leaflets and maps to help you during your stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great holiday B&B at a very affordable price.

Je wordt gastvrij ontvangen in een kleinschalig B&B. Lunchpakket en fietsen gratis beschikbaar. Uitstekend ontbijtbuffet. Parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Eigen ingang en eigen toegangssleutel.

Fantastic accommodation

Great hosts, lovely breakfast, large room with very comfortable bed,spotlessly clean.we had a fantastic 2 night stay within close proximity to Menin Gate and the places of interest that we wanted to visit, along with other places that Alain directed us to.

A historic area of the WWI

Nice people, good breakfast. You must be an english speaker to be even more welcome in this B&B. Small problems with the Wi-Fi by not having coverage for the entire B&B but I think that I helped them to have it fixed.

Great for visiting WW1 sites

We arrived early but Anne let us in anyway. Trouble finding the place was due to my Satnav but actually it is sign posted well outside. Accommodation is all self contained and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. TV was excellent with lots of uk channels. Alain is a mine of information regarding WW1 and can give information about the places to visit in the area. Breakfast was inclusive and very nice indeed. A lovely place and you can walk from there to many places of interest. If you have a bicycle so much the better.

Belle chambre mais maître d'hôtel stricte

tres belle chambre mais trop sévère en règlements ... J'ai emmener ma tablette pour regarder journal de ma ville au petit déjeuner et on me l'a interdit.
