Die Anlage, Hotel und Festsaal, ist schön Angelegt worden. Modernes Zimmer, Gute Betten, aber es fehlte das Zuhause Gefühl. Einiger masse Hellhörig. Guter Kaffee aber Frühstücksbuffet nicht passend zum preis.

Good location

Very nice room with all facilities and a superb view over the gardens and lake. Typical cold continental breakfast but hot eggs of any type available on request. Only 8 minute drive to Ypres so had easy access to our main objective of the Menin Gate ceremony at 8pm. Park near the Flanders Museum in the centre, no parking charges after 6.30 pm

Comfortable modern village hotel.

As our booking of a hotel in Ypres through your app failed to work, we had to find accommodation in the area at very short notice. Finding Domein de Lissewal went a long way towards making up for the inconvenience. It is a lovely modern hotel, on the edge of a park (which my room overlooked) in its own manicured grounds. Although there was a wedding reception being held when I arrived, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are large, comfortable, well equipped and immaculate. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with good scrambled eggs made for us. The hotel gives good value for the money, within easy reach of Ypres.

Excellent hotel with easy road access to Ypres

We stayed one night at the end of September as part of a weekend trip to Ypres. The hotel is about 4 miles from Ypres but very easy to find on a direct road from the hotel. There is plenty of secure parking space. The complex itself comprises mainly of a large function room, and indeed when we stayed there was a wedding party going on. These communal areas are very well kept. The hotel part, as I remember, has only 8 rooms, accessed via a lift or an open narrow staircase. The room we had was beautiful and spotless and a good night's sleep was had on an extremely comfortable bed. Only comment is we could have done with a couple more pillows. Breakfast was a self-service buffet style with plenty of choice. Overall an excellent stay and a very good choice for visiting Ypres, without staying right in the centre of the town. We would definitely stay again

Kleinschalig hotel

Het hotel hoort eigenlijk bij een feestzaal en ligt daardoor een beetje afgelegen. Met de auto sta je op zo'n 10 minuten in hartje Ieper. Voor iemand die met de auto de omgeving wil verkennen is dit een mogelijke locatie. Er is een zeer ruime parking (gratis), waar het enkel druk wordt als er effectief een feest is. We ondervonden amper of geen geluidshinder van een trouwfeest dat aan de gang was tijdens ons verblijf. De kamer zelf was vrij beperkt qua oppervlakte, maar meer dan voldoende voor ons kort verblijf (2 nachten). Het is nu eenmaal ook geen locatie waar je een week blijft. Het ontbijt was meer dan voldoende. We hebben niet in het restaurant gegeten. Opletten dat het restaurant niet alle dagen open is! Je kan uitchecken tot 13u wat ideaal is als je wat wil uitslapen. Spijtig genoeg kan je maar ontbijten tot 10u. (wat voor feestvierders die blijven overnachten relatief vroeg kan zijn) Minibar is enkel in de suite beschikbaar.

On Saturday evening a wedding was ongoing and loud music was stopping some of our party from sleeping Loud music until 4 am Dining room for breakfast was very stuffy as patio doors were locked and evening reception had been in this room

Lovely hotel and grounds

Hotel and grounds were lovely, very clean, the staff extremely helpful, they were happy to prepare scrambled eggs especially for me with no dairy included. Short drive from the centre of Ieper. Would happily return.

Great option for visiting Ypres.

Nice hotel a few kilometers out of Ypres. Perfect base for visiting the Flanders battle fields and memorials. Lovely staff and great value with breakfast included.

Mooi, rustig gelegen hotel.

Helaas was hotel al gesloten voor de opgegeven check-in tijd (23Hr). Hierdoor een ander hotel moeten boeken. Er staat geen telefoon nummer op de deur, dus niemand te bereiken.Wel gewoon het hotel moeten betalen.Verder ziet het hotel er netjes uit (van buiten).Jammer, maar ik kom hier niet meer terug.

Great for an overnight

This was chosen for its proximity to the town of Brugge. The staff are really friendly and it seems cannot do enough for you. The room was great and as we were wet from riding a motorcycle the towel radiator was a welcome bonus. The car park is free and right outside the reception. The hotel operates a shuttle bus to town with various times. very well recommended

Restful stop over in Ypres

Whilst it was a disappointment that the restaurant was not open on the night of our stay we had an excellent room and the general condition of the hotel was good. The breakfast was simple and straightforward. Check out was simple and quick.
