Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico hotel rooms at the El Cid

"We stayed for 1week it was a little frustrating that we couldn’t check in till 3pm but the concierge was nice enough to accommodate us for 2pm. The rooms smell like mold but they were a good size and very clean.the grounds and pools are welled kept, beautiful plants and natural wild life. The staff throughout the resort was very nice and friendly. But the Bell boys are running there own game!! leaving us waiting or not even showing up the Ventus drivers were much nicer and friendlier. "The property was beautiful. In the beginning, they offered us some coupons for excursions if we signed up to do a 90 minute presentation. They were pitching a vacation club. It was pretty high-pressure even though they specifically said it wouldn’t be. Aside from that, the resort was amazing. The food was delicious. "Staff were very nice. Pools and property well maintained. Ventus and Ventus Ha side were pretty boring. Would benefit from activities and/or music very far walking and carts were often a pain to locate or staff would be irritated to give you a ride because they were short staffed to provide transport around the hotel.
