"Couldn’t be happier with our stay at Porta Suites. So comfortable and clean and near everything in the center. And the hot tub at the end of the day was the cherry on top. Very nice staff also! "

"L'hôtel est bien situé, à quelques minutes à pieds du centre ville et offre l'accès à un parking à quelques dizaines de mètres. La chambre était propre et équipée. La salle de petit dej au 5e étage est très agréable avec une belle vue et le petit déjeuner est excellent avec beaucoup de choix. Seul défaut : l'hôtel étant en ville c'est assez bruyant, probablement mal isolé car on entend du passage dans la rue même au 4e étage. Globalement nous recommandons."

"A lovely oasis outside the main tourist areas yet still close enough to walk to everything. I’d read the reviews about the “rough” neighbourhood, but while it is not picturesque, it always felt safe. The hotel has loveky bright rooms, and is scrupulously clean. We loved having a private ground floor patio with its own lemon tree! There were some wifi issues during our stay, but not specific to the hotel. Biggest plus: the small complement of staff provided excellent recommendations, lots of help with local information, and were unfailingly friendly."

"The property is advertised as a 4 star probably based on the amenities however it’s a 3 star at the most based on UK STANDARDS. The food is limited for vegetarians apart from the array of salads and possibly 4 vegetarian main options. Foods are not not always labelled. However the chef is accommodating if given pre-notice. Rooms needs a revamp, common areas are not cleaned, sun bed are not cleaned daily."

"Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the church square. The room, lobby and hallways were very clean. The location was perfect for seeing Heraklion. On the edge of the old town with pedestrian streets but the hotel was close to a main street with bus service and taxi's could pull up right outside. The main restaurant street was less than a block away."

"Wonderful stay from the first minutes entering the hotel. Great staff and lovely room. Had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was excellent. Breakfast both mornings was exceptional. Helped us find transportation to our next stop."

"Excellent view. Superb, competent and friendly staff, excellent bed, room, and extensive complimentary breakfast. Location a bit rough 15min from city center, but next to local shopping mall."
