"The check in with smooth. They spoke Japanese along with Chinese and English. There were snacks, water and tea available in the lobby. The place was a bit outside of city center however a very comfortable stay. I just wish they had more dressers in the room. Seems to be a consistent theme in Taiwan no dressers and storage in the rooms"

"The shower pressure was amazing, the staff was kind, the ambiance was great, and it was very walkable to public transport. One of my favorite hotels in Taiwan"
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Splendor and would stay again. The hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. It's also a short walk to the botanical gardens. Our room was very clean. It's an older hotel so a bit shabby in places. Scuff marks on the walls for example. Also the beds are very hard, but I was told this is typical in that area. Overall a lovely stay though."
"The room and bathroom were excellent. I never mentioned toilet in all my previous reviews, but the bidet toilet in our room was great to use and had all the widgets you can dream of. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary. The selection was huge and the foods were tasty. Just don't go there during public holidays as it will be very crowded, like what we had experienced. We were there during the May Dragon Boat Festival. We were given a table at breakfast, then we all got up to get foods. When we return to our designated table, there were other people sitting at our table. The staff was very apologetic and got us a different table quickly, so all is well. In general, it is a good and luxurious hotel."
"The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Eateries nearby where we can have nice food, only bad thing is that night market is not walkable distance.
We stayed there for 2 nights, and had a few incidents during the stay. I would like to thank the curly hair boy for his excellent service and helpfulness!! Had forgotten to get his name.. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel."
