"We were very kindly received at the reception desk after we „survived” a deception on our arrival in Porto Vecchio, because the owner of the apartment we had originally booked pretended that he had cancelled the booking, which was not true. The staff at Le Balamina made us feel safe regarding our stay in Porto Vecchio. We also had a delicious continental breakfast. We can‘t but recommend this Hotel which is not far from the port."

"Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is outside the town centre so it’s best to have your own transport - there is free on-site parking available. If you do then drive into town … go early, or you may find it difficult to park because it gets very busy. The hotel’s pool area is great and well-maintained - towels are available from reception (cash deposit required). The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room (to keep drinks cold)."

There were virtually no Corsican specialties, only two kinds of industrial cheese, very limited fresh fruit, and melons that were so hard they were practically inedible. "Room was simple and clean. Nice pool (swim with goggles!). My only complaint was the WiFi which, on the day I stayed, was too slow to do anything useful with. Heads-up that there are multiple places in Ajaccio with "Castel Vecchio" as the name. Make sure to use the correct address when finding this hotel."

"Nested on a hill, this hotel residence is a little gem hidden next to the AjaccionNaloleon airport. Rooms are small but comfortable. The bathroom was well designed with stone walls, beautiful. The pool attracts you by it's location facing the mountain and is spotless. Definitely a place to spend the night before an early trip to the airport . Order a nice and tasty charcuterie and cheese board with a Corsican rose and you are in heaven."
