8/10 Good

"This is a nice hotel in a really good location. Gare Du Nord is about a ten minute walk away and Gare Du L’est is across the road. There’s also a train entrance directly outside the hotel. I walked to the Louvre Museum in half an hour and many other locations. There’s also many restaurants and fast food places and a supermarket across the road too. It’s a good place to stay but my only small criticism is the shower and bathroom which is quite small (perhaps because I was in a single room?). The bathroom also doesn’t have enough toiletries. I always bring my own but it would be nice if they provided things like a shower cap, bars of soap, cotton wool, cotton buds etc. The staff are nice - Ashley and Jay answered my many questions and Jay recommended a great Caribbean restaurant - thank you! Tay was also friendly when I checked out. I think it’s a bit too pricey for what it is but would recommend staying here."

"Great location being by the train and major transport, even kids had fun taking the underground. If you know that going in, you know it may come with outside noise the hotel cannot control. Even still, it is charming to sleep with the windows open and hear the true sounds of Paris. Staff was great but never had any issues that needed their attention. Just a late night water, and they attended to it right away. For US people, it has an elevator so that is a huge plus! We had a wonderful stay. Some of the best pastry and bread can be found just walking distance down the road. Local good places!"

"Arrived early and were told room wasn't ready, which was fine since we knew check-in was at 3pm. But still dissappointing because we had been traveling for over 30 hours and were exhausted. We came back at 3pm and were told our room still wasn't ready...ours, and 4 other people waiting to check in. Finally got into room about 4pm after they changed kept saying 10 more minutes. After 30 minutes I asked how long, they said sorry, the guest before us had late checkout. We arrived hours early, they knew we were there and still allowed the guest to check out late! Finally got to our room, but bathroom was not clean, sink was dirty, and shower floor had grime and was slippery. Gross! Breakfast was 6:30am-11am, so because of time change we went at 6:30am... Apparently breakfast is brought in and hadn't arrived-what?? So we had a croissant for breakfast after paying for a supposed deluxe buffet breakfast. Then the coffee machine was broken on top of it. They tried to remedy and sent cleaners the next day, and gave us another day of breakfast. Other than location, and one really nice front desk lady with short brown hair, stay was a bust. You could hear the loud doors closing all times of the day, bang, bang, bang. We were woken up almost every hour. Air conditioning worked, that was a plus. The location was great for transit, food, shopping. Based on reviews, not what most people reviewed. Disappointed."
