Our return was not so good because there was a change of restaurant staff with dropped standards The previous staff were always cheerful and had enough English (serving all nationalities) to make eating there very pleasant. "It was a basic studio and was clean. Air con was good. Pool closes for 3 hours 2-5pm. Food in restaurant is very good and reasonable priced but for all the staff they have (5) service is terrible. " This has been our 3rd stay at the hotel Lido. Personally my partner and myself Love it there for its convenience to the beach, restaurants and shops ect.. However it should be stressed to new visitors that the Lido like most hotels in the area is a 2 star hotel so don't expect 4 star decor also people new to the area should appreciate this is a working coastal town so don't expect the canary island experience. In saying this for those looking for a Spanish experience and a Lovely beach holiday...

"Hotel normalito, no destaca en nada. Al ser invierno no use aire acondicionado, aunque te dan un radiador de aceite pero hace frio en la habitacion. Limpieza normal, pero la alcachofa de la ducha no tenia fuerza (en aliexpress venden por 3€) y el baño se le salia el agua , al ser cañerias antiguas. La cama era normal de comoda. Para pasar 2 dias es suficiente. "

Cartagena is 10 minuutjes rijden, de plaats zelf heet La Palma (voer La Palma in in je navi). Pizzaria - Donnerzaak in het straatje zelf. Vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel in het hotel. Bij mooi weer kun je lekker zitten op het binnenpplaatsje. Auto kun je prima parkeren in de straat zelf."

"Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable, plenty of room if 4 sleeping. The only problem is that there appeared to be come maintenance required to upkeep the hotel/apartment block, broken paving stones, etc., possible trip hazard. But overall good value for money."

"Quite a walk from the beach but a comfortable hotel going through change of ownership. Clean and tidy hotel with friendly staff but lacking in dining choice as it only has buffet food at the moment. We found the hotel very good value for money and would come again."
