"My first trip to Holland was wonderful. The attached restaurant was a bonus. The staff were extremely friendly & were able to help me in both German & English. The hotel is older with no air conditioning however the fan in the room was very helpful. The hotel is close to shopping & very walkable. The room was great except the view was lacking. "

"Location is a double-edged sword. Having a balcony overlooking the grote markt/stadhuis is only nice during the day. Sleeping with all the noise was difficult but overall still possible. The rooms appear to have not been renovated in a while and the hallways were quite dirty. A huge plus is the food, as the restaurant is much better and has many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner"

"I don’t recommend this place at all! 3 star is for the River view. Had I known this is actually a youth hostel with some “comfort room” I wouldn’t have booked it at this price for my vacation. River view is not but we had to live with youngsters racing in hallway with big noises at 10:40pm every night! When we arrived on the rainy afternoon at about 2:30, the young guy at front desk didn’t check at all and didn’t dare to look at our eyes and told us check in has to be at 3pm! At 3 pm we were...
