"The property is one of the best property for Besar island in the price range. Pools are great facility if you have non swimmers with you. We had kids and they just loved it. Food was good for Non Vegetarians but being vegetarian, we faced trouble. Cook helped on day 1 with good friend rice on day 1 in complimentary breakfast but that was the only 1 item we got in vegetarian food, apart from juice and tea coffee. "Its a dead town..nothing special. No one goes to islands. Hotel is totally rundown. Bed, bath and room is bad. Room grown with spider web, lizards nest and ants nest. Have not seen cockroach yet. Reception is quite friendly though. Hotels.com info is absolutely outdated. Used to be a transit hotel for those going to/from the islands"

"It was quite dissapointing that we were late for check-in, but there was not anyone from hotel staff that would have contacted us to keep in the touch. In fact, when we were about an hour journey to arrive at the hotel, the receptionist called to let us know that she'll be out of shift soon and will just leave the room key by the reception counter. I find this very rude as a customer to be treated this way. The hotel management itself should have a replacement staff for the shift changing time...

"Arrived well before official checkin time. Room was ready. Although they tried to upsell their newer renovated rooms which were empty. They were nice but it wasn’t a free upgrade. Their initial remark was my booked room requires stairs climbing which I did not find an issue to begin with. The basic room was pretty much the same as the one I stayed in many years ago. Clean but ancient. There were kettle and fridge. Wifi never seemed to work but I never inquired further as I have my mobile data....
