Sainte-Famille-en-Auge 2 Stars Hotels

"Budget hotel so for the cost it is extremely good value. Would have liked a hand towel for the separate sink area, but just two bath towels provided for the wet room style toilet/shower. Continental style breakfast was good for the first two days, but on our last day (a Monday) there was very little on offer. The room was small but adequate and the bed was very comfortable. There is free WiFi, but unfortunately this went down half way through our 3night stay and was still down when we left. If...

"Very pleasant stay, room tight but adequate with a view towards the beach. Car parking secure behind electric gates. Enjoyed a very nice breakfast in a well decorated dining room, ham and cheese, croissants and bread, coffee and tea all self service."

"Room was very basic and quite small. It felt very cold and the walls are very thin. There was black mould on some of the bathroom tiles and the sink had a crack in it. More of a motel than a hotel. Restaurant had very limited choice on the menu. Breakfast tables rarely made up. No hot food. Wifi was very good. Staff were friendly and plenty of parking outside. Not the best place I have stayed in but relatively cheap."

"Budget hotel as the name states. Basic room was adequate for my solo 3 night stay. Staff (Pasquale) were very helpful and friendly. Walk across the nearby bridge for Cabourg and many dining/shopping opportunities. Would’ve like to have had an onsite laundry. Overall clean basic stay and would recommend if you’re not looking for many amenities. Limited front desk hours."

"This hotel is well located for the port, and we stayed here after a late arrival to the town before our long journey the following day. There was nothing open when we arrived, although there is a lot within walking distance when it is open! Friendly guy on the reception when we arrived who helped us with a few things (hot water for our snacks, extra pillows etc). Our checkin information said the reception was closed for checkin after 21:00, so we were provided with a code for the self checkin...

"Arrived late after the ferry crossing and was made welcome. Unfortunately the bar had shut, which was a shame as it seemed a convivial place, and a wind down after the journey would have been appreciated. The room was very clean and well provided. With a good shower and toiletries. the room was a little noisy as it was street facing, but after a good nights sleep. We enjoyed a substantial continental breakfast. The staff were very friendly and we would stay there again."

"We spent 10 days at la Résidence Les embruns in September, and we loved it. It's an older property that would benefit from some renovations and updates (like a fresh coat of paint all over). That said, it's very close to the wonderful beach, and also services like a grocery store (Carrefour Market). Carole at the reception desk is a pleasure to deal with. Downtown is about one kilometre away, an easy and pleasant walk. Very recommended."

"Typical Ibis budget just a few minutes walk from the harbour and the old town. This is the older Ibis design that has a sink in the room (not in the bathroom behind a door). For some reason there were no power sockets near the bed."
