"Very clean, modern hotel which is very good value if you don't mind the absence of a wardrobe or the loudish, non-controllable aircon. The location is convenient and the price is low for Utrecht. It's right next to a station and a tram route and 5 minutes walk from the edge of the old town. The sound of the aircon bothered me but my wife didn't notice so I suppose it depends on your tolerance to background noise. It would have been nice to be able to turn it down or off but there are no controls...

"Absolute delight! The staff was the best in Holland and my room (without windows) was exceptionally well done! I thought it might be weird, but it was not at all. Quiet, clean, roomy, comfy bed, right on a canal, with winderful and interesting lighting including a ceiling portal that shone the sun in my room. I will definitely be back to this hotel! "

"Great location, adequate hotel and reasonable breakfast. mainly pleasant and attentive staff. On the second day, however, the room was inadequately serviced. Towels all bar one were taken and not replaced, glasses and cups were neither cleaned nor replaced, facial tissues, drinks etc were not replenished. Advised the front of house who resolved immediately"

Looked out on a great wall (see photo), very small, no desk or place to put stuff, no hotel phone, incorrectly informed about maid services. Friendly staff but poorly trained. I stayed at room 25 and they have rooms with a view of the market but not clear how to book those."
