"Staff was excellent and restaurants were superb. The room was clean but the property is old and could use some renovation. There was only one night where the noise was too loud (at 3am) but one call to the front desk and it was promptly addressed! "

"I have to give them 5* just for the location and the great staff. From reception to housekeeping and security, everybody is very friendly and trying their best. The property itself is tired. No lobby or lounge as such, no elevator. I saw some elderly people struggle on the stairs. Their traditional suites are larger rooms with a small couch. The heritage is there but I would rate the property an average 2* and it is overpriced."

"Very clean, comfortable and noise free room. Check in was quick, staff friendly and helpful. Room service good and quick. One prep was too spicy but gave us free ice cream to make up for it. Check out quick. Overall would definitely recommend!"

"The location is very convenient in the new town, acess is very easy from airport, no traffic jams. The breakfast buffet has wide spread and quality was good, the overall cleanliness and service was good and satisfactory. Suggestion 1. Shaving razor kept in room,quality is little poor shall be improved. 2. Please keep one sleeper in room for guest use. 3. The tables in restaurant areas are little small to accomodate 4 person for food. Overall it was a pleasent and good stay experience...

"Lovely central location to all the main sights. Large comfortable bed in a clean room. Decent breakfast to start the day with freshly cooked eggs etc. The whole place was a bit tired and needed a female touch. All in all a decent place "

"Decent stay. Breakfast is not great but will do. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area so dont go out in your slippers, especially if its been raining. (when it rains, water collects in the outside area) Walls are on the thin side, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs. Overall, its good enough given the price."

"The location is excellent with fantastic views of the river. One should stay for this reason alone. Having said that, the condition of the hotel needs to be improved. Quite run down in many places. Simple things like good choice of TV channels (especially the News and Sports channels), tissue boxes in the room etc. should be looked at"

"Good location but my room was so dirty, I bought cleaning products for bathroom. There were cockroaches. Breakfast was not provided as promised on my booking. I could see into the staff area and it was very untidy/dirty. I found staff were hard to communicate with. The doorman/security was nice/helpful. "
