“We booked a 2 night stay, with our daughter in order to be at a close friend's funeral service and wake. The hotel is ideally located to appreciate the view across the water, and to watch the comings and goings in the bay. The staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The public areas and therooms are lovely and clean. Parts of the hotel are ready for being refurbishment (which is about to take place) but it would be a shame if the whole project loses all of the period atmosphere...

“We totally enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I can't say enough about the breakfasts. There was a buffet of lots of fresh fruit every day, a selection of cereals, and the cooked breakfasts to order were fabulous. We aren't drinkers, so we didn't go into the pub at all. There was a minor plumbing issue one evening, and they did everything possible to rectify it that evening. Unfortunately, the plumber wasn't able to get the part till the next day, but we...
