"Hotel well location to bus routes etc but room was very minimal. Originally we were put in a different room that had a dirty shower, headboard and radiator and had broken furniture alongside curtains that opened to a wall, the window was way above our heads, so had minimal light, the reception kindly moved us to a better basic room which was very kind of them and they were always super helpful! "Lovely hotel, only thing that was a bit of a put off was the overpowering smell of room spray/air freshener when you walked into the room, we had to open the window to let fresh air in. The room itself was small but clean. Staff where very friendly. Breakfast was nice with a great choice. Lovely bar area and drinks where a reasonable cost for a hotel. Location was fantastic! "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montecarlo! The hotel is in a wonderful, central location close to Piazza San Marco. The staff was helpful, always ready to answer questions or give advice on local restaurants, things to do, etc. We had them arrange a water taxi for us to go to the airport, and it was an exceptionally smooth process. They even helped us transport our luggage to the water taxi. We never had breakfast or afternoon tea at the hotel, so I can't give an opinion on those. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Montecarlo again and recommend it to others. "

"This place is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. Conveniently located by the train station, but just enough on a side street that it’s totally quiet. 20 minute-ish walk to the heart of Venice. Water buses within three minutes of the hotel front door. Location cannot be beat. Super friendly staff that made a fantastic room accommodation for me since I had a split reservation. I very much appreciate that. Make sure you book the breakfast because it’s well above average. And having the ability to eat the breakfast in there, lovely courtyard was a bonus. Loads of restaurant options and a delicious gelato shop in the immediate area. And of course you’re walking to the heart of Venice is just restaurant after a restaurant after a restaurant after a restaurant. A+ 10/10. "
