"This is a historic property in a not so historic area. My family spent two days in this place. We were concerned when we were coming close to the hotel because we did not realize that is in the outskirts of Siracusa, in an area filled with non-impressive apartment buildings. "I loved the actual hotel and the rooms and overall property is fantastic! The only complaint I had was the service at the bar/restaurant aren't the best. They only had 1 person who could speak English and the staff seemed generally a little unfriendly. We made jokes "this is the time of the night where we get yelled at by the staff". They always seemed like we were bothering them to ask a drink etc. I think if you are Italian you get better service. That said, overall the stay was a joy! "
