This is a great honor. Like restaurant with Michelin Stars. Make no mistake ....this hotel is one of the best.

This is a nice hotel but like any European hotel, the rooms are small and the building structure creates odd spaces. Beds are very comfortable.

This is my 16th trip to Germany. The Torfhaus Resort rates as one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The location is perfect for hiking, biking, sightseeing or just relaxing. It is in the forest, but close to Altenau, Braunlage and other larger communities. The cottages are in excellent shape with the most modern appliances. Staff is very professional and always on duty. It’s nice, comfortable, friendly and well functioning hotel.

We stayed here with our daughters family also to attend a wedding near by. Our experience was wonderful. The rooms are very nice and spacious, the dining experience superb. The rooms do not have air conditioning and we need it cool to sleep well but the open windows and fan were enough to be comfortable.

A centrally convenient location with easy inexpensive parking. The breakfast was exceptionally good with broad offerings brilliantly managed by great staff. The bedroom was large, clean with a clean bathroom, including a large walk-in shower.

A very nice hotel very different (in a very good way) in relation to the other hotels in the area. It is modern, a nice breakfast and dinner option available in the hotel and in the village are very good restaurant.
