"This is truly a lovely hotel, with a great pool and beach front. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and grounds are very well maintained. Entrance feels grand and welcome us very warm. Great kids club. Would definitely return if I had the opportunity. Only minus I experienced was the upselling (day trips, spa treatments) during breakfast. While this may work well with some of the clientele, I found this quite annoying."

"Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. "We stayed at the Frangipani Tree for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful even before we arrived, helping to book a car from the airport. It is a two hour drive form the airport but the roads are very good and there is lots to look at on the way. On arrival you can relax with a drink and admire the scenery. "After a week touring the island, we just wanted somewhere to rest and relax. We could not have found anything better. Beautifully decorated private villa with pool, each one well apart so totally tranquil. The service was impeccable, excellent massage, variety of evening food experiences, first class local and international cuisine. "It was the worst hotel experience we had ever. Rooms were full with mosquitos,bed linen and pillow case covers was not changed when we arrived and they changed them after we checked in to the room and they sprayed bugs spray all over and it was difficult to breathe. It was raining and that room's electricity went off 4 times and each time it went to we had to run to the reception to inform them as they did not pickup phone. "Well appointed space, lovely spacious room and bathroom. Staff very friendly , well trained and very helpful. Breakfast however can do with a bit of improvement. I love Sri Lankan food and found the breakfast buffet a bit underwhelming "

"Very pleasant one night stay at Sielen Diva. Beautifully and sleekly designed hotel with very large rooms that have high ceilings and unbelievable floor to ceiling windows with views of the beach and ocean. Waking up to that view was a joy! Very nice pool and common areas and a friendly, helpful staff. Top credit to the manager who assisted in the return of my phone when I forgot it in the transport car to the airport in Colombo. he was able to call the driver who came back to the airport and...
