There’ s no words to describe how amazing was our holyday! The location it’ s great and the place it’ s beautiful.
The staff was absolutely lovely, they took so much care of us and they really makes us feel just like at home!
Thank you Elpida Staff!
We are coming back, definetly.
We have just returned from staying at Elpida Village.
The setting is lovely and the views are stunning.
The shuttle bus to the beach was very handy.
Our room was great, with very welcome a/c.
Plenty of space for our clothes too.
My only complaint really was that the shower was far too small and I didn't like the shower curtain. I am an average size person and even I found it difficult to shower without flooding the floor. But that was a minor inconvenience.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We loved Marina who was working in the bar in the evening. She was so friendly and entertaining. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the lady who served the pool bar, but she was also very pleasant and friendly.
The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The waiting staff were a little over keen to clear the tables but we soon got used to that.
I highly recommend this as a great hotel for families.
We are a couple but found that it was OK for us.
We also liked the fact that we could have all inclusive which was well worth the price that we paid.
I especially loved the terrace area outside the main party of the hotel where we sat in the evening, with a beautiful tree in the middle and tables and chairs all around just like an old Cretan village square.
Enough food but don't go for the amenities or view
A typical all-inclusive resort hotel - enough food with a variety of options to choose from at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Non-branded drinks were available free until 11pm, fresh orange juice and frappe's plus branded spirits i.e Metaxa Brandy were extra. There is only 1 main restaurant to eat at, the other does a Greek style BBQ but you can only eat there once per stay and tbh wasn't really worth it. The pool bar serves ice cream most of the day and has tiny stale cheese and ham rolls available after 3pm incase you miss lunch - we missed it by 15mins when we checked in.
The hotel is not in Istron itself, it's in Kalo Chorio - there's not much around, a couple of minimarkets and traditioal bars/tavernas but no nightlife in or outside of the hotel and no tourist shops so a car is highly recommended. The hotel does run a shuttle every few hours to the beach.
Because the hotel is not on the seafront (nor that near it) the views are 'just ok' - don't think epic Santorini views!! The sea and mountain views are nice but spoilt by the solar panels on the rooftops directly below.

Repas correct et pas trop gras, all in raisonnable.

The resort layout is really good, it does feel like a self contained village. Facilities are excellent, food is good but not outstanding. Good selection for both breakfast and dinner consisting of mainly traditional Greek cuisine. Staff are friendly and helpful and rooms very nice and clean. The bus to Voulisma beach runs every hour but I would recommend other beaches nearby as they are much better and cleaner. Would definitely recommend as a nice family holiday stay.
Had a wonderful ten day stay. Only negative was mattress to hard with no give so had sore hip and shoulder all week. Food fantastic. Entertainment low key so perfect. Overall great. Beaches great but walk to quieter areas and snorkelling lovely.

VERY DARK AND DISMAL ROOM - VIEW HIDDEN BY BUSHES!
Our room was extremely dark and disappointing as our "view" was completely obscured by huge bushes, which meant plenty of insects invaded our room and I was also stung by a huge wasp. These bushes should be removed immediately as it completely spoiled our stay.
Semplicemente non soggiornato all' Elpidio Village.

Disliked: Room comfort
The premises are interesting with multiple levels trees and flowers. The breakfast was alright with a spectacular -though not too close- view of the sea. The room had a cute little balcony with the same view. Fortunately, no other guests were around on their balconies as we would have been sitting too close. The room however leaves much to be desired. There was a smell of dampness in our room and the mattress was not comfortable. The bathroom needs an upgrade as well.
Snuskete hotell i kjedelig område.
For the price we paid (£450 for 9 days for a family room at the end of August) the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located on a hill with a steep slope up and many steps around the complex. For this reason I think it should be made clear that this isn't for people with walking difficulties. Despite this, the views from the restaurant were worth it as well as gorgeous sea views from the rooms. The hotel is 800m from a great beach and there is a free shuttle three times a day to the beach. It is a bit of a walk but we opted for it on most days given the added flexibility.
The food was the best thing. For a 2* hotel in Crete I was expecting continental breakfast and a fairly simple dinner (we were half board). Breakfast was in fact sausages, some sort of egg (boiled and fried or scrambled), bacon, yoghurts, salads, cheeses, cereals etc.. etc. There was also a large range at dinner to the extent that after 9 days we were still looking forward to it and hadn't gotten bored. There was a different main dish each night (often Greek) with spaghetti for those looking for a less adventurous option as well as ice creams, fruit and a caramel for desert.
The area around the hotel is very quiet though this didn't bother us too much. Most of the guests are Polish but again this wasn't an issue and most seemed friendly.

Nice hotel for relaxing
It was a very relaxing days for our family. The children loves this place. It was the second time that we went to this hotel. The rooms are cleaned, the staff was very polite, the food was very good.
The internet connection sometimes was fast and sometimes was very slow.
We just came back from elpida. It's a lovely hotel close to two lovely beaches if you looking for typical relax as it could be a little bit boring . Staff are nice and friendly , hotel clean , food it's a bit boring and there is small selection of meals pretty much every day same , also snack at bar it's very poor as for a large amount of people there is like maybe 20 tosties and nothing else. Very poor selection of alkochol on all inclusive stay and it's very watery , that's only minuses. But overall it's a lovely little , quiet town for nice family holiday .

Grazioso hotel
Personale molto disonibile.
It was great value for the money paid. We are not so demanding and must say that the holiday was very plesant. The hotel is situated in a quite location not damaged with huge amount of hotels, bars etc. Lots of beutiful beaches are in the vicinity.
Personnel of the hotel is very nice and helpful, you can feel there very comfortable. The garden and pool area is large enough for the amount of hotel guests to get you own privatness.
