"Very cool campground, everything on property is rustic old western and built very well. Bathrooms were very clean and campsites are large and well maintained. Will definitely be coming back and spending more time there as the area has alot of recreational activities available."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Palm Canyon. What really stood out was the staff. I was working remotely for most of my trip, but the WiFi was spotty in my area of the property. Sabrina offered up an employee house on the property that had its own router that I could use as a private workspace. It was a great solution, and really showed the staff’s dedication to making things work.
There were a few amenities that were not top notch, like the WiFi, the hotel pool was closed & the onsite restaurant was also closed. The latter two were disclosed before I arrived, and there was another pool that was open & there’s a food truck on site Wednesday - Sunday. The bar is also open & the bartender is very kind.
Again, the highlight of this place is really the staff & service they give. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and plan to do so again if I’m ever back that way."
"If you want to get out and enjoy a nice, friendly and relaxing time away from the city, Julian is an excellent choice. Making Gold Rush Hotel your choice to stay a night or two or more would make it the Perfect choice.
Staff that included Becky, Valerie and Lisa made our second visit such a great time. Breakfast is excellent and the coffee is a perfect compliment.
The rooms could be a bit small for some. It is so peaceful and quiet you will not even think of the small room, if that was your first impression.
Being our second visit, this time guaranteed we would be booking again in the near future.
You will not go wrong choosing this place for a nice quiet time in the mountains. "
"A veryy friendly individual allowed us to check in 15 minutes early. He told us we had "one of the nicest rooms". The good - .nice sized room, extremely comfortable bed, spotless bathroom with shower in a tub vs walk-in and Main Street was only a short block away. Neither good nor bad - old furniture similar to what might be found at a used furniture store. Not vintage just old including an upholstered wing-back chair that had seen better days and twor random choices of standard chairs situated in corners of the room. The bad - .extremely noisy air conditioner/heater (we finally turned it off). A public parking area immediately behind the hotel. It is directly outside the windows which we opened rather than endure the loud air conditioner/heater unit. The coffee provided with the machine was extremely bland. Otherr coffee was reportedly available in the lobby. Access to the lobby required traversing down a flight and a half of stairs and a bit of a walk. Annoying but not hugely significant - accessing the toilet paper roll while seated required an odd backward reach and good shoulder mobility. Similarly the step into the shower over the edge of the tub warranted caution as there was nothing to grip to steady oneself. We managed ok but it is worth noting only because those who are unsteady or physically a bit limited might find the process disconcerting. Also VERY annoying two remotes for the TV with no direction as to what each controlled. Overall 3 stars of 5"
"Wonderful accommodations, lovely property and rooms. I enjoyed that my room was well appointed, comfortable and was spacious especially with the vaulted ceilings and private balcony.
Restaurant was very good, well balanced food choices and attentive wait staff. I had dinner and breakfast there.
Cozy bar is welcoming too.
Pool areas are very nice and there are activities provided to choose from.
I would happily return if I am back in the area!"
"Campground was easily accessible, the site was well maintained. No check-in was possible on Monday due to the office being closed, but our friends connected up with the camp host to let them know of our arrival.
Overall, the camping and use of amenities (showers, restrooms, etc.) was very nice. Restrooms and showers were clean."
"The view is very impressive and lodge itself is cozy with large kitchen with some necessities for breakfast.
The reason for I gave 3 stars is the mattress was awful. Soggy and old and really soft. Also the shower is unusable. Old shower head that sprinkles the water all over, but doesn't give a stream. So washing was a nightmare. Also the quality of shampoo and conditioner was really not good"
