"The Fortress Balumgala is located in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. However, it could be better maintained and managed. Under no circumstances should the guest be charged double the price for dinner because he arrived on a public holiday."

We had Chulan who looked after us during our stay and was very attentive and helpful. This place is old charm but with modern day facilities. "This is a wonderful boutique hotel full of yesteryear charm from the beautiful colonial building with its antique furniture to the spacious landscaped gardens and the pristine cold water pool. Some distance from Kandy itself but easy enough to access there and all the tourist spots by tuk tuk with Lieyru the manger only to happy to assist with this."
