"The concierge was wonderful. She was a young employee who called 3 restaurants for us before finding one that could take us that evening! Breakfast was substantial with eggs and pancakes and there was a lovely outdoor patio on which to enjoy it. "

"The staff was very nice, the breakfast is very varied and well served, the rooms are clean and the pool is great. The downside is maintenance. The room we were in had 2 TVs one worked fine the other said “weak signal” not a single channel. Above said TV there was a lamp that, die to some missing screws, was leaning agaist the TV set. Outside, in the playground for the mids, they have a slide, which is great, but the base for sitting was broken on the ground next to it.. with the proper care it can be great, as is, it’s good."

"Convento do Espinheiro Historic Hotel & Spa is truly an exceptional place to stay. The hotel is the main part of beautifully restored almost breath-taking complex. Rooms are well furnished, with comfortable beds, extensive storage and well equipped bathrooms. It is located in fully restored Convent, including a beautiful church and extensive grounds. The staff were efficient and effective and a pleasure to talk to. They were most helpful in regards to recommendations for visiting the area and willingness to provide detailed information on the history of the facility To celebrate my 82nd birthday, I reserved a suite and it proved to be a wonderful present. We occupied room 207, with 2 balconies, a large sitting area with a separate half bath, and nicely furnished private bedroom with a large bath off the bedroom. The furnishings and decorations are first class - simply magnificent. The Simmons king sized beds was supportive and comfortable. The spacious main bathroom included a walk in rainforest shower, separate bathtub, a selection of exclusive amenities and two complimentary bathrobes and slippers for absolute comfort.Everything worked just fine.
