Lovely Hotel

Great hotel in a quiet town. I wish there were more places to eat nearby. We liked the breakfast and the staff were super friendly. I would stay here again.

Pleasant staff and good location

Large and comfortable room with a balcony with a beautiful view of Mount Civetta. This is an old hotel but we were very comfortable. Bathroom is small as with all other mountain hotels we stayed in. Staff is excellent, courteous and ready to assist with any questions. Good breakfast of Italian style with lots of cakes. Dinner was delicious and not expensive. Hotel is close to lake Alleghe which is beautiful and at the bottom of Passos Grau and Falzarengo. It is a long drive to Cortina as it requires a trip up and then down the mountain.

Very enjoyable hotel stay!

Very much enjoyed our stay. Hotel front desk staff are a friendly, helpful family. The hotel is well-situated across from a river with walkways. Mountain views are stellar. The hotel is well cared for. Room was large with a king bed and a single daybed/sofa with bolsters. We had a large balcony. Bed was quite firm and sheets appeared to be starched and ironed. Shower was adequate and bathroom included a bidet. There is a very large, very nice spa in the basement which is complimentary for guests. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. We appreciated that the staff referred us to Belvedere grill and bar and made reservations for us as their restauranr is closed until June. The Belvedere is definitely worth the short drive! We would definitely like to return to this unique hotel.

I want to give this hotel a good rating but this was the worst sleep I’ve ever had and it completely ruined my hiking plans for the next two days. The room was on the 2nd floor facing a busy road with no sound isolation. It felt like I was trying to sleep on the freeway. And the noise did not subside at night - I could not sleep at all until maybe 4am each night. Therefore, without air conditioning and having to keep The doors and windows all closed due to noise (which didn’t help much), it also would get incredibly hot. I sincerely have never had a worse night of sleep at a hotel.

Ich empfehle jedem Hotelbesitzer, in den Zimmern selbst eine Nacht zuzubringen und den Raum mit den Augen des (ausländischen) Kunden zu betrachten. Wir hatten einen Motorradurlaub geplant und sind dann aufgrund des angesagten schlechten Wetters mit dem Auto gefahren. Wir wurden im obersten Stockwerk einquartiert. Das einzige, was das Zimmer mit den Bildern gemeinsam hatte, war die Bettwäsche. Ansonsten war alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad war nicht, wie auf den Bildern gezeigt, hell und freundlich, sondern ein brauner langer Schlauch. Die Wände kahl und weiß, ein freundliches Bild würde schon viel bewirken. Auf dem langen Balkon (Nordseite) nur 1 Stuhl für alle Zimmer. Auch im Doppelzimmer nur 1 Stuhl. Abends gingen wir früher ins Zimmer. Nur italienische Fernsehsender. Wir konnten noch nicht mal Nachrichten auf Deutsch sehen. Und das im Zeitalter des Satellitenfernsehens. Der Wellnessbereich war schön, war jedoch nur von 16-20 Uhr geöffnet. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter wurde nicht früher geöffnet. Schade! Positiv waren das Personal, die Sauberkeit des Zimmers und das Frühstück. Parkplätze vor dem Haus. WLAN hat super funktioniert.
