"Nice room with balcony and sea view"

"The pictures are deceptive, this property is right in the middle of a busy area of bars and restaurants so it’s very loud. Sleeping was only possible with earphone in all night long. Aside from the surrounding noise, the walks are thin so you hear other guests and the lift is loud. Pack earplugs. It’s a shame because the actual apartment was very nice. It was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is a little oversold, there is nothing to cook with except an electric hot plate but it’s useful to have a coffee machine, fridge & washer. The balcony looks over other businesses so we didn’t use it. The breakfast selection was limited to bread, cheese and eggs. The food was fine though. Note - there is no parking and Kas is crazy busy so you will need to park outside of the town and walk in or there is a paid car park around the corner for 400tl per day. Overall the accommodation is good but only for those who can sleep through loud noise or bring noise cancelling headphones or earplugs. "

"Horrible Review: Sianji Well-being Resort, Bodrum – A Masterclass in Deception and Overcharging I have stayed in many five-star resorts, but my experience at the Sianji Well-being Resort in Bodrum was so profoundly disappointing and financially predatory that it deserves a special category of awful. My primary grievance is a blatant case of bait-and-switch overcharging at breakfast. I was aware my room rate might not include breakfast and was perfectly prepared to pay the advertised rate of R128 per person for a continental buffet, as stated on their hotel app. However, what transpired was nothing short of a scam. Upon entering the dining hall, our room number was checked against a printed list, leading us to logically assume breakfast was included. We were seated and served. As vegetarians, our requests were simple: two toasted cheese, tomato, and onion sandwiches, three glasses of pineapple juice, and we inquired about pastries. They offered ice cream and chocolate mousse instead. After eating, we were stopped and presented with a bill for a staggering 2,950 Turkish Lira (approximately R1150.00). This was not the continental breakfast rate. They had itemized every single component at outrageous, à la carte prices—charging us exorbitantly for two simple sandwiches, three juices, and the desserts they themselves offered. "We booked in December when the hotel was supposed to be closed because they accidentally forgot to remove the listing. We had just moved from their other property, Lavinia Hotel, which was lovely with an amazing view and good breakfast but the stray dogs barked all night. Our Lantana apartment had an even more amazing view. We were able to have breakfast at Lavinia since Lantana was officially closed. The apartment was very comfortable and cute but it looks very tired compared to the photos and needs fresh paint. The fridge was new but the kitchen needs work: The cabinets are in poor shape. There was a propane stove in the kitchen that's not safe, in my opinion to use indoors, and needs to be replaced with a portable electric stovetop. No kitchen towels are provided and guests obviously used The bath towels because they were stained; we just purchased paper towels since there were no extra bath towels. The bathroom needs a good scrubbing of the shower door and door base because there's black mold. (My biggest pet peeve as a full time traveler.) Otherwise the apartment was very comfortable and quiet at night. Unlimited water, filtered I assume, was provided in glass bottles which was nice and environmentally friendly. This stay could have been a 10/10 if a few things are taken care of. Still, it was a good value and the view and balcony can't be beat. "
