Great location, comfortable rooms, good food, and most importantly amazing staff that always go the extra mile to make your stay a special one. Special thanks go to Mr. José Mendez who always makes sure that all guests are having a wonderful time. "The breakfast selection was excellent and the service was wonderful. The hotel itself looked old and needing paint updates from the outside but once inside it was well kept, clean, noticeably updated and nicely decorated. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I’d like to note that seniors might find the bath tub a bit high to step into in order to shower. Also it isn’t easy to locate despite the huge frontal area of the hotel. The entrance is beyond the back of the building on the far right tucked in on the left. If you don’t speak Portuguese and ask around where to go it might be challenging to locate. We found the front store owners and locals very friendly and happy to assist with directions. Our stay was memorable and our attendant at the desk was incredibly helpful, providing us with a map and instructions. The old area of Guimaraes is definitely worth exploring and Hotel Toural is the perfect location for the area."
