"Maria Cristina is undoubtedly a beautiful, characterful hotel. The Basque welcome from reception was really appreciated. We received a lovely glass of the local wine and the person who checked us in was so pleasant and helpful and that theme continued throughout. The reception and door staff couldn’t do enough. We had room 301. An upgrade from the garden view we had booked. A spacious room, very comfortable bed, Byredo products. On the downside there weren’t any tea / coffee making facilities!...

The only issue we had was a very noisy pipe in our room that went off every time someone flushed the toilet. Otherwise stay was very comfortable.
