“Practical place to stay, on the promenade. Friendly staff, dogs welcome. Clean, good bed and shower. If you go there at the weekend the parking spaces are free on the promenade for 4 hours ( Monday to Saturday, 8am-6pm).”

“The location was great with a lovely sea view. All the staff were pleasant especially Josh who helped with bags . My only complaint is the standard of the room. It's very dated and needs TLC . Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. We spoke with other people who was staying at another hotel cheaper rate with breakfast included. I wouldn't book again.”

“Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. Food excellent quality, well prepared. More choice of breakfast buffet items would be welcome. If you are solo and book in advance for dinner, be aware that you might...

“The “spa” and “gym” were a hot tub and a dark room full of miscellaneous junk which wasn’t conducive for relaxing.”

“Great location in Barmouth and useful to have a free car park within easy walking distance. Our room appeared to be recently decorated to a high standard with some nice touches like good quality coffee and water supplied. Just to beware that our room was on the top floor and required us to walk up a few flights of stairs although we were offered help with luggage. The main negative for us was the breakfast. “Safe, clean, quiet, and cosy. A quaint walk from the train station. My only issue is that I found the room to be quite cold with no way to adjust the temperature myself. There is no staff on the property, so not an easy fix. ”
