โThe Riffle Volunteer, is a lovely old English Pub, The Manager, and The Staff, are Fantastic!! And went above and beyond. The Rooms are Clean, but basic and could do with a
lick of paint to freshen their up. But apart from
that it's a charming little tradition pub. The outside garden is lovely, and there is parking, but it's a small car park.
But i loved it.

โThis was very much a last minute job, we were travelling home from 2 days in that London and were worn-out. This was in fact the only place we could find that wasn't either booked up or cost outrageous money. Although, the directions link on the Expedia app took us to the middle of nowhere so we had to phone the lovely people at the hotel for help. When we got there we were surprised it was a much bigger and better place than we expected. Would definitely go again.โ
โA very enjoyable stay as always after years of visiting and the restaurant is very good accommodating if needed.
The only small feedback - please use a summer duvet on the bed ๐โ
โLovely area - Harlow Park. The property has a beautiful well- kept garden. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the house was homely. Food and drink available to buy and prepare on site in the well- eqipped kitchen. Books and board games galore. โ
โWe rarely get a break from our business so we are always so happy to find little gems like the Brocket. We loved the relaxed charm of the whole place. The roads accessing it may be a little windy & tight but Ayot is such a beautiful area it is worth the trip. We parked outside the pub & were greeted by the friendly team who showed us the room which had water left out & tea/coffee making facilities. It's everything you would expect from a 14th century inn. โMy Room, was clean comfortable and welcoming.
Had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed.
Food in the bar (Indian) was among the best I've had, service quick and friendly.
A good stay.
Just as a note the rooms are up steep stairs at the back of the pub which wouldn't be suitable for anyone with a mobility issueโ
