Beautiful property and grounds. Was expecting more of a traditional breakfast, however the amenities that were left out were tasteful. Am adapting to Properties moving toward greater self service model.

The Inn is exquisite. We were very pleased with our accommodations. The only disappointment was the breakfast. When we booked, the website said breakfast was included. We were expecting a bit more than store-bought muffins, etc. We would up eating at a local restaurant that the Inn recommended.

I have had a more friendly welcome at a Motel 6 than we experienced at the Melange. No one to greet—we never saw any staff during our stay. It was like staying in an AirBnb that just happens to be a historical home. Breakfast VERY disappointing—we took one look at the offerings and decided to leave. Would NEVER return nor recommend to others.

Breathtaking

The only part of the stay I didnt enjoy is when I had to leave! Everything was exceptionally clean, the venue was just stunning and every time I managed to catch the owners or staff they were just the salt of the earth wonderful folks. The bed was so comfortable it was a struggle to get up and go most days. Reading and drinking tea out on the porch was my go to but the dining room and sitting rooms were opulent and just as thrilling to bask in. I look forward to coming back soon.

I loved how beautiful the property was and how peaceful our room was. We walked around the grounds and it was so pretty. The entire stay was restful and just what we needed. The only negative was that there wasn't anyone around to answer questions, it was very hands off which was part of the charm until we needed to know how to get ice. Our text was left unanswered. Otherwise, a great visit.

On the positive side,this was a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a nice covered veranda off our room. I had hoped to have some nice quiet times here but unfortunately there was too much traffic noise. On the negative side, I felt there were no personal touches here. We never once saw the hosts, altho there was a lady we happened on by chance who was restocking the breakfast bar and she was friendly. There was no turndown service or daily housekeeping as was advertised. While they did say only a continental breakfast was offered, I had expected something special, since traditionally B & Bs offer a very delicious breakfast. This breakfast was very ordinary, limited choices and all things I could have gotten at the local convenience store. Even the coffee bar only offered one variety of coffee. I did call once to ask if there was an ice machine on premise and they said no, only the small ice trays in the mini frig which didn't freeze well. Overall, I was sadly disappointed in our stay.

It is an Excellent Home which is Impeccably maintained and furnished! I was Blown Away at the SPACE of the rooms! My room was over 1,000 sq. feet! I could have easily stayed in this room with 3 kids and have plenty of room! However, the furnishings include very nice china and may offer a possibly of breakage with very small children! Not a bad thing, just a part of life! On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 12!!!!

Lovely property

Beautiful place to stay. It was incredibly peaceful with lovely decor, excellent beds, great WiFi, tasty breakfasts, and an amazing shower. Each room is different, so check what is best for you. We were in the Lale suite, which has two separate bedrooms. Because of Covid, your key is waiting for you on a hook when you arrive and an access code to the main door is emailed to you. It’s such an intimate property, there were no safety concerns. Stayed here while touring the Biltmore at Christmas, but can’t wait to come back. You can tell this historic home was converted into a B&B with tons of love.

Awesome fall stay at the Melange Inn

Very much enjoyed our stay at The Melange Inn. Accomodations were excellent and all the folks at the Inn were always checking in to see what else they could do for us. Breakfast selections were innovative and delicious.

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the Melange Inn. We stayed in the Lale suite which was so spacious and comfortable. Janet and Chad were so accommodating and kind, we could not have asked for better.

The ideal setting for weekend away or to feel at home while being pampered beyond belief. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Chad to the last breakfast before leaving, we were taken care of by Janet and Chad like family members. The home itself exudes elegance and majesty. Our room was beyond comfortable and we felt like royalty with the bedding and furnishings. Breakfast was top notch and portions kept our energy up till late lunch. The surrounding grounds show off the venue as a showplace for weddings, strolls for peaceful and quiet reflection as well as feeling so taken care of by the host Janet. We were so amazed by the attention given to detail in preparation of the home, room, breakfast and even how engaging the staff mentioned beforehand were whenever encountered. A true gem in the B&B field. Please take note when booking and ask if Chad is still on staff as Chef and Janet is still the host, they are the icing on the cake and provide the atmosphere needed for anyone to feel truly welcome and at home when away. An heartfelt note of thanks to Janet for conversation, engaging stories and being so welcoming with banter and smiles. Both Chad and Janet are the pillars the Melange Inn will continue to stand. When we arrived, help was offered to assist with luggage and Chad set the tone by being there to greet us with this assistance. The offer of help extended to our departure as well. Five stars are truly not enough to reflect our thanks.

Phenomenal

Wow, this place is a hidden gem, the service was fantastic and there were so many beautiful and delicate details to EVERYTHING! from the cup used for tea, to the decorations on the walls and ceiling, the inviting and calming gardens, the music for breakfast in the morning and the aroma's caught when walking through the halls to your room. I can't wait to come back for a weekend family reunion.
